Duxford Studios: Modern heirlooms inspired by form, tactility and the fragility of life.

Duxford Studios is the brainchild of Esme Rogers Evans, an award winning Welsh jewellery designer and maker working with eco sterling silver and gold vermeil, specialising in lost wax casting. With a 1st class honours degree in Fine Art Sculpture and having exhibited nationally and internationally, Esme draws on her contemporary artistic grounding to make heirlooms that demand attention and withstand the test of time. Inspired by Memento Mori: the transience and fragility of human existence, the pieces in this collection explore the impermanence of life. 

A recent winner of Be The Spark's Startup of the Year Award, Esme’s catalogue of tiny wearable art and custom commissions are a necessary antidote to a world of mass production and fast fashion.

Her decision to use Ecosilver made of 100% recycled sterling silver products reveals her sustainable approach to design. Forging her first creations in the back alleys of Saigon, Vietnam, she is now settled back in the UK and works exclusively with UK suppliers ensuring a low carbon footprint and a commitment to her local economy.
